Fibro Flare.

A pantoum poem seems an appropriate form of poetry to describe a Fibromyalgia flare up as it goes around and around in a vicious circle, never letting up, always repeating itself…
Pain and poetry seem to go hand in hand. After a painful night I put pen to paper.

Fibro flare

The Fibro flare crept up, pain to ignite
It stole my sleep, abused my head,
With silent stealth, like a thief in the night.
It ruined my comfort rest in bed.

It stole my sleep, abused my head,
Sent shock wave pain throughout for hours.
It ruined my comfort rest in bed,
It knifed and battered my coping powers.

Sent shock wave pain throughout for hours,
Exhausted, beaten, drained, and tired,
It knifed and battered my coping powers.
Awake, sleep stolen, in bed I cried.

Exhausted, beaten, drained and tired,
With silent stealth like a thief in the night,
Awake, sleep stolen, in bed I cried,
The Fibro flare crept up, pain to ignite.
